Track Sheet - DrHans Studio, Inspelningsstudio Stockholm Haninge

Track Sheet example

Create a track sheet named: ”Track Sheet – song title”.

The track sheet should contain the names of the tracks and information.  Time signature and tempo, and if you wish, instructions / requirements.

See the example picture on the right!

All songs should have the same tracknames and the tracks should begin with a two-digit number.

For example, if the kickdrumtrack is called 01BD in the first song. Name the kickdrumtracks 01BD in all the songs. Not 01BD in one song and 01KICK in another song.

Keep the same trackorder! For example: If ”Snare top” is track 02 in the first song, then ”snare top” should have the same number in the other songs too.

Tracks that are´nt recurring in all the songs should be added to the end of the trackorder. Se the track sheet picture!

All audiotracks and VST-instrumentstracks should be exported individually with the same starting point. Leave some silence at the end.

Exported files are preferred in 24bit 44.1 kHz resolution. Max 32bit 96kHz.

Stereotracks can be exported as stereofiles (stereo interleaved). If they are exported as dual mono: specify the prefix L or R. For example 07PadL and 08PadR. Stereomiced tracks such as OH channels from an acoustic drumset, should be exported as ”dual mono”. As time and phase differences can occur.
Stereomiced drums out best tagged with ”HH” & ”Ride” instead of ”R” & ”L” . As right and left, depends on which way you look at it from. Tex ”10OH HH” & ”11OH Ride”

  • Turn off any ”insert effects” and EQ (If you want to include an effetc, exporting twice, one with and one without effects. Write this in the ”Track Sheet”)
  • Set the pan and volume fader to zero
  • Turn off automations
  • Export all tracks individually from the same starting point
  • Create a new folder and name the folder with the same name as the song title
  • Add all files in the created folder
  • One folder per song. (1 song = 1 folder, 10 tracks = 10 folders)
  • Include tracksheet in songfolder
  • Be sure to compare the foldercontent with the track sheet so that all files are included in the folder and have the right name
  • If you want to give instructions, you can do so in the song’s track sheet
  • Compress the folder in . Zip or. Rar format

Done!
